First Full Season in the Books

The first full season of Teen Street Skills: Awareness Behind the Wheel has officially come to and end! The 2018 slate of events wrapped up on Saturday, October 20th, with a morning/afternoon doubleheader. The programs, which ran from June to October, were full of teens from all around Southeast Michigan. More than 50 area schools were represented, from high schools to prep schools to colleges.

A number of Detroit-area journalists stopped by during different programs to observe the curriculum, as well as to see teens reactions to the program. Teen Street Skills founder and lead instructor Robbie Buhl appeared on WXYZ Channel 7 news, interviewed on Detroit radio stations, and provided insight for articles published over the past month. Most importantly, we would like to thank all of our supporters, sponsors, and especially the teens and their parents that have made Teen Street Skills such a great program! We look forward to the 2019 season and expanding with more events and schools reached!

The #1 cause of teen deaths is car crashes and Teen Street Skills was created with the sole purpose of decreasing teen driving fatalities. It is our responsibility and our mission to make your children better, safer drivers!

Sincerely,

The Teen Street Skills Team
