[CRAINS] Buhl Sport Detroit opts for former Corktown factory as company headquarters
Buhl Sport Detroit, formed last month as a racing team and motorsports marketing business, said this week it will establish its headquarters in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood.
The company, founded by brothers Robbie and Tom Buhl, said it will renovate more than 44,000 square feet of space at 1907 and 1927 Michigan Ave., known as The Factory at Corktown.
The two- and three-story space, which was built in 1907 and later expanded, is across the street from the old Tiger Stadium site, and was home to the former Chicago Hosiery and Detroit-Alaska Knitting Mills factories.
