Citrone/Buhl Autosport completes first INDYCAR iRacing Challenge race
Citrone/Buhl Autosport made its team debut over the weekend at a virtually packed Circuit of The Americas on the internet—scratch that—in Austin, TX. Real-life team driver of the #45 car Spencer Pigot received his simulator setup just in time for practice on Thursday and completed all laps (P25) in his first INDYCAR iRacing contest early Saturday afternoon.
It's a new experience for many of the teams with drivers just recently setting up basic simulators at their homes and learning the iRacing system. Some, on the other hand, have been doing iRacing for years and have more advanced simulators at home. To see what one of these iRacing events is like, you can re-watch the full NBCSN broadcast of the AutoNation INDYCAR Challenge at Circuit of The Americas here.
All in all, the 6-race INDYCAR iRacing Challenge has been a pretty welcome substitute for INDYCAR fans until real racing returns. Best of all for fans, no expenses were incurred for tickets, parking, or concessions at the track!
Catch the final round of the INDYCAR iRacing Challenge this Saturday which takes place at the one and only (virtual) Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On Saturday, Robbie paid another call to Detroit News auto critic Henry Payne on his weekly radio show "Car Radio with Henry Payne". You can listen to Robbie chat with Henry about iRacing and more (@ ~25 min. mark) via the link below:

Also, we are happy to announce a presenting partner of Cars in Corktown Digital Edition...Stoner Car Care! Since last year, Stoner Car Care has been a great partner of Buhl Sport, providing all the detailing and car care supplies to Racing4Detroit and the Teen Street Skills fleet. And we have given away some of their very convenient Performance Essentials kits to some lucky winners at Cars in Corktown...who knows--maybe one lucky entry to our virtual car show will get a real bucket of detailing supplies?!
